Descriptive Gazetteer Entry for Deskry

Deskry, a rivulet of SW Aberdeenshire, rising, at an altitude of 1800 feet, on the western shoulder of Morven Hill (2862 feet), close to the meeting-point of Glenmuick, Logie-Coldstone, and Strathdon parishes. Thence it winds 10 miles north-north-eastward and west-south-westward, between Logie-Coldstone and Strathdon parishes, across the Migvie district of Tarland parish, and between that district and Towie parish, till it falls into the Don ½ mile E of Castle-Newe- Its trout are small but excellent.—Ord.
