Dunwan Dam, a crescent-shaped lake in Eaglesham parish, SE Renfrewshire, 2 miles SW by S of Eaglesham village. Lying 850 feet above sea-level, it is 71/3 furlongs long; has a varying width of 11/3 and 3 furlongs; and sends off Holehall Burn, driving Eaglesham Mills, and falling into the White Cart.Ord. Sur., sh. 22, 1865.
