Dunwan Dam, a crescent-shaped lake in Eaglesham parish, SE Renfrewshire, 2 miles SW by S of Eaglesham village. Lying 850 feet above sea-level, it is 7¹/3 furlongs long; has a varying width of 1¹/3 and 3 furlongs; and sends off Holehall Burn, driving Eaglesham Mills, and falling into the White Cart.—Ord.
