Erncrogo, a small loch near the centre of Crossmichael parish, Kirkcudbrightshire. Lying 380 feet above sea-level, it has an utmost length and breadth of 3 by 1½ furlongs, and contaius two islets, which formerly were frequented by sea-gulls. A streamlet, flowing from it to the Dee, drives a meal mill that serves for nearly all the parish; otherwise the loch might be advantageously drained.Ord. Sur., sh. 5, 1857.
