Glengaber Burn, a rivulet in the Megget section of Lyne parish, S Peeblesshire, rising at an altitude of 1800 feet, and running 2 ⁵/8 miles south-by-eastward, till, after a descent of 910 feet, it falls into Megget Water, at a point 1 ¾ mile W of St Mary's Loch. It is flanked, on the left side, by Deer Law (2065 feet) and Broomy Law (1750); and it retains faint traces of ancient searches for gold, said to have not been altogether unsuccessful.—Ord.
