Gonachan, a hamlet and a burn in Fintry parish, Stirlingshire. The hamlet lies at the mouth of the burn, 5 furlongs E by S of Fintry church. The burn, rising near the watershed of Campsie Fells, at an altitude of 1550 feet, close to the boundary with Campsie parish, runs 37/8. miles north-eastward to Endrick Water at the hamlet.Ord. Sur., shs. 30, 31, 1866-67.
