Descriptive Gazetteer Entry for Laxfirth

Laxfirth, a bay on the E side of Tingwall parish, Shetland. Opening at a point 5¼ miles N by W of Lerwick, it penetrates the land 25/8 south-south-westward, and contracts from ¾ mile to a point.
