Netherlaw, a seat of Sir Robert J. Abercromby, Bart., in Rerwick parish, Kirkcudbrightshire, on the right bank of Abbey Burn, 5 furlongs W of Port Mary, and 7 miles SE of Kirkcudbright. The estate-1339 acres, of £1858 annual value-came to the Abercromby family through the marriage (1816) of the fifth Baronet with Miss Elizabeth Douglas.Ord. Sur., sh. 5, 1857. See Forglen.
