Rowardennan, an hotel in Buchanan parish, Stirling- shire, on the E shore of Loch Lomond, opposite Inveruglas ferry, 4 miles S of the summit of Ben Lomond, and 9½ N of Balloch. It adjoins a steamboat pier; is the best starting-place for the ascent of Ben Lomond; and furnishes guides and well-trained ponies for parties making the ascent.Ord. Sur., sh. 38, 1871. Rowcan.
