Boston Spa, eccl. dist. (St Mary) and vil., Branham par., E. div. West-Riding Yorkshire, on river Wharfe, 1 mile S. of Thorp Arch ry. sta. and 3½ miles NW. of Tadcaster, pop. 1498; P.O., T.O., 1 Bank; has long been a fashionable watering-place. Wharfedale College is in the vicinity.
