Ipsden, par. and vil., in SE. of Oxfordshire, 4 miles SE. of Wallingford, 3442 ac., pop. 699; the old Roman Icknield road, or Icklston way, passes through the par.; in vicinity of vil. is the seat of Ipsden House; here also is Ipsden Wood, with a Roman well.
