New Brighton, town, Wallasey par., Cheshire, at NE. corner of the Wirral peninsula, 4 miles N. of Birkenhead, pop. 4910; P.O., T.O. New Brighton is a pleasant and much frequented watering-place, with excellent bathing, a fine promenade, and a landing-pier 600 ft. in length. Many places of interest are in the neighbourhood.
