Ochil Hills, hill-range, chiefly in SW. Perthshire, but also within or bordering on Clackmannan, Kinross, and Fife; extends 25 miles NE. and SW. from near Perth, on the Tay, to near Bridge of Allan, in Stirlingshire; has an average breadth of 12 miles, and attains in Ben Cleuch an alt. of 23G3 ft.; the summits are mostly rounded and verdant, and there are many beautiful glens and valleys.
