Pembrey, seaport town and par. with ry. sta., Carmarthenshire, on river Burry, 5½ miles W. of Llanelly, 14,298 ac. (178 water), 762 tidal water and 6024 foreshore, pop. 5663; P.O., T.O., called Burry Port; 1 Bank; has extensive tin and copper works, and carries on trade in coal. Pembrey Hill affords fine views. The seaport is also called BURRY PORT: which see.
