Tanderagee, market town and township with ry. sta. (Tanderagee and Gilford), Ballymore par., E. co. Armagh, on river Cusher, 5 miles SE. of Portadown, 14 miles NW. of Newry, and 83 miles N. of Dublin, 706 ac., pop. 1592; P.O., T.O., 1 Bank. Market-day, Wednesday. Tanderagee has linen mfrs., and a good market for flax. The sta. is 1½ mile to the NE., and near the Newry Canal. Adjacent to the town is Tanderagee Castle, seat of the Duke of Manchester.
