Wyre, river, N. Lancashire; rises at Wolf Fell Crag, and flows 28 miles SW. past Garstang and Poulton le Fylde to the Irish Sea at Fleetwood. On NE. elbow of North Wharf Bank is a fixed light (Wyre River), 30 ft. above high water and seen 10 miles.
