Isle of Whithorn, seaport vil. with pier, in par. and 3¼ miles SE. of Whithorn, SE. Wigtownshire, pop. 352; P.O., T.O.; stands upon what was once a rocky islet, and has a well-sheltered harbour; at Isle of Whithorn are the ruins of a very ancient church.
