Search for a place
Aros, vil. and seat, on NE. coast of Mull island, Argyllshire, 9 miles SE. of Tobermory; P.O., T.O. Near it is Aros Castle, ruined rock-built fortress of the Lords of the Isles. A rivulet, called Aros Water, issues from Loch Frisa, and falls into the Sound of Mull close to the castle.
