Broadwater, par. and vil., W. Sussex, 10 miles W. of Brighton, 2735 ac. and 374 foreshore, pop. 11,817; P.O.; the par. contains Worthing. It has a beautiful church, in the richest style of mingled Saxon and Norman ornamental architecture, containing some splendid monuments of the Delawarr family.
