Descriptive Gazetteer Entry for Cam, or Granta

Cam, or Granta, river, Cambridgeshire; rises on SW. border of co., near Ashwell, and flows NE. past Cambridge to confluence with river Ouse 3½ miles above Ely; is 40 miles long, and is navigable from the Ouse to Cambridge.
