Castleblayney, market town and township with ry. sta., Muckno par., E. co. Monaghan, 18 miles NW. of Dundalk and 73 miles NW. of Dublin -- township, 185 ac., pop. 1810; P.O., T.O., 2 Banks. Market-days, Tuesday and Wednesday; is pleasantly situated on Lough Muckno. C. has corn and flax mills, with jute and tow factories. The seat of Castle Blayney, which formerly belonged to the Blayney family, is in vicinity.
