Market-day, Friday; is situated on an eminence, in a charming country of pasture and grove. Besides the weekly markets, three fairs are held annually for cattle and horses. Cuckfield Park is 1 mile SE., and to the W. is the old Elizabethan mansion of Cuckfield Place.
