Ewell.-- par., township, and vil. with ry. sta., W. Surrey, 2½ miles N. of Epsom and 16 SW. of London -- par., 4258 ac., pop. 3389; township, 2437 ac., pop. 3002; P.O., T.O., Market-day, Thursday. At Ewell are numerous villas of London traders. In the district are potteries, and brick and tile works; also flour-mills and powder-mills. Large cattle fairs are held in May, and sheep fairs in October. In NE. vicinity of vil. is the seat of Ewell Castle.
