Foula, island (3 miles by 1½ mile), Walls par., Shetland, 16 miles SW. of the nearest point of Mainland, 27 W. of Scalloway, and 35 N. of Orkney, pop. 267; P.O.; rises from the sea in lofty cliffs, which swarm with sea-fowl; is much frequented as a fishing station.
