Ross and Cromarty, between Loch Ewe and Little Loch Broom; contains Gruinard Island, pop. 6; receives Gruinard River, flowing 5¾ miles NW. from Loch na Sheallag, and Little Gruinard River, flowing 5½ miles N. from Fionn Loch; at mouth of Gruinard River, 15 m. NW. of Poolewe, is G. House.
