Holbeach.-- market town and par. with ry. sta., S. Lincolnshire, 7½ miles NE. of Spalding--par., 20,980 ac. land and 14,240 water, pop. 5190; P.O., T.O., 2 Banks. Market-day, Tuesday; is a town of great antiquity; numerous Roman relics have been found. Holbeach has a fine Gothic church and 2 grammar-schools.
