Kerrera, island, in Firth of Lorne, Kilmore and Kilbride par., Argyllshire, pop. 103; P.O.; extends 4¼ miles SW., has an average breadth of 1½ mile, and is separated from the mainland by the Sound of Kerrera, on NE. side of which is Oban Bay. Alexander II. (1198-1249) died at Kerrera while preparing for an expedition to the Western Islands.
