Kielder, ry. sta. on NW. border of Northumberland among the Cheviots, 16¾ miles NW. of Bellingham; P.O. Kielder is a property of the Duke of Northumberland, and has a shooting-lodge called Kielder Castle. The place is celebrated in Scott's Border Minstrelsy, and contains several spots and objects associated with Border legends.
