Stirlingshire - par., 15,370 ac., pop. 1131; vil., 1¾ mile N. of sta., which is 9½ miles NW. of Lennoxtown, pop. 356; P.O.; Killearn has an obelisk in memory of George Buchanan (1506-1582), the historian, who was a native; 1½ mile SW. of vil. is Killearn House, seat.
