(Low Leyton), 2370 ac., pop. 23,016; town (comprising Low Leyton par. and part of Wanstead par.), 2577 ac., pop. 27,068; P.O., T. O.; is an ancient place, and has yielded many relics of the Roman occupation. Many fine suburban residences are here. Leyton is a local government dist.
