(including the Kinloch portion of Coupar-Angus par.), pop. 966; vil., near river Isla, 1¼ mile NW. of Alyth Junction and 5½ miles NE. of Coupar-Angus; P.O., T.O., 2 Banks; in the churchyard is a remarkable group of sculptured stones; Meigle was once a seat of considerable trade; Meigle House is the property of the Kinlochs of Kinloch.
