Mostyn, eccl. dist. and vil. with ry. sta., Whitford par., Flintshire - dist., pop. 2335; vil., on Dee estuary, 3½ miles NW. of Holy well; P.O., T. O., at Mostyn Quay, which has become of considerable importance in connection with the collieries in the neighbourhood; Mostyn Hall, seat of Lord Mostyn, dates partly from the reign of Henry VI., and contains many Welsh antiquities.
