Needham Market, market town with ry. sta. (Needham), Barking par., Suffolk, on river Gipping, 3 miles SE. of Stowmarket and 8½ miles NW. of Ipswich by rail, pop. 1366; P.O., T.O., 1 Bank. Market-day, Wednesday. Needham has a town hall, an endowed grammar school, and a public library and reading room, and carries on mfrs. of glue.
