(containing Penycae, Rhos-Llanerchrugog, and Rhosymedre), 13,918 ac., pop. 15,194; P.O., T.O. has extensive collieries and ironworks; the church is a very ancient building, and contains several monuments of the Wynn family, whose seat, Wynnstay, is adjacent.
