St Sampson, town and par., Guernsey, Channel Islands, 2½ miles N. of St Peter Port, 1435 ac., pop. 3780; P.O., T.O.; is a place with considerable trade in stone from the adjacent quarries. Many improvements have been made in the harbour, which encloses 22 ac. of water, and is sheltered by a breakwater 650 ft. long. The church (1111) is the oldest in the island.
