Spynie, New, par., Elginshire, on river Lossie, partly in parl. and police burgh of Elgin, 5946 ac., pop. 1620; the church is 2½ m. NW. of Elgin; in the NE. of the par. are the ruins of the ancient episcopal palace of Spynie.
