Egilshay, island (3 miles by 1½ mile), Rousay and Egilshay par., Orkney, 11 miles N. of Kirkwall, pop. 165; P.O.; has remains of St Magnus Church (with round tower), supposed to date some time between 400 and 843. St Magnus was killed at E. about 1100.
