Dilston, township, Corbridge par., S. Northumberland, on Devil's Water, 2½ m. SE. of Hexham, 2224 ac. (57 water), pop. 206. Dilston Castle (in ruins) was the residence of the last Earl of Derwentwater (1689-1716).
