Search for a place
Tummel, river and loch, Perthshire; the river issues from the E. end of Loch Rannoch, and flows 29 miles E. and SE. to a confluence with the Tay near Ballinluig Junction; the loch is formed by an expansion (2¾ miles long) of the river, 7½ miles NW. of Pitlochry; 3 miles NW. of Pitlochry are the Falls of Tummel (20 ft.).
