Crookhaven, fishing vil., Kilmoe par., SW. co. Cork, on C. Bay, 30 miles SW. of Skibbereen ry. sta., pop. 263; P.O., T.O. C. Bay is 2½ miles wide, and penetrates 2½ miles inland. Crookhaven proper is a narrow inlet on the W. side of this bay; it runs 1½ mile westward, and is 18 to 20 ft. deep at its head; it offers clean anchorage and completely land-locked shelter. On Rock Island is a lighthouse, with 2 fixed lights (Crookhaven) seen 13 and 10 miles.
