Rhymney (or Rumney), river, South Wales; rises in Brecknockshire, and flows 30 miles SE. along the border of Monmouthshire and Glamorgan to the Bristol Channel 2 miles E. of Cardiff; the Rhymney Valley has some fine scenery, and is rich in minerals.
