SALLINS, a village, partly in the parish of OSBERSTOWN, but chiefly in that of BODENSTOWN, barony of NORTH NASS, county of KILDARE, and province of LEINSTER, 1 ½ mile (N. W.) from Naas; containing 419 inhabitants. It is situated on the Grand Canal and is the third stage for the canal-packets plying from Dublin; it is also a constabulary police station.
