MAIDENCOMBE, a hamlet in Stokeinteignhead parish, Devon; on the coast, in a beautiful dell, 3 miles S of Teignmouth. It contains several gentlemen's houses, and a few farm-houses; and has a fine waterfall of about 80 feet, and a romantic cove.
