LYMINGTON (THE), a river of Hants. It rises in the New Forest, near the boundary with Wilts; and runs about 12 miles south-south-eastward, past Boldre, to the Solent at Lymington. Beautiful views are on it in the neighbourhood of Hayward-Mill and Boldre.
