LLANDILO-VANE, or LLANDILO-AFAN, a parish, with a village, in the district and county of Brecon; on the river Ciliene, an affluent of the Usk, under MynyddBwlch-y-Groes, near the boundary with Carmarthen, 8¼ miles E by N of Llandovery r. station, and 11 WNW of Brecon. Post town, Brecon. Acres, 10,491. Real property, £1,946. Pop., 496. Houses, 90. The property is much subdivided. The manor belonged to Strata-Florida abbey. Llandilo Hall belongs to the Lloyds. Much of the surface is upland. The living is a p. curacy in the diocese of St. David's. Value, £83. Patrons, the Coheirs of W. Jeffreys, Esq. The church was recently in disrepair.
