Auchincloch, a hamlet in Kilsyth parish, Stirlingshire, 3½ miles ENE of Kilsyth town. Numerous human bones have been exhumed in fields adjacent to the hamlet, and are believed to be those of men who fell in the battle of Kilsyth, fought in 1645.
