Real property, £1, 455. Pop., 170. Houses, 39. The manor belongs to the Earl of Scarborough; and much of the land, to Sir William Fitzherbert. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Lincoln. Value, £302.* Patron, the Duke of Newcastle. The church is early English; was recently restored; and consists of nave, N aisle, and chancel, with a tower. There are a Wesleyan chapel, and charities £8.
