HAMBLETON-HILLS, a hill range in N. R. Yorkshire. It extends about 7 miles from N by W to S by E; is distant, near the south end, 5½ miles E from Thirsk; presents a bold appearance, forming a fine background to many landscapes; and commands extensive and charming views.
