Aithsvoe (Norse eids vágr, ' isthmus bay '), a creek or bay in the SE of Shetland, immediately N of Mousa island, and 9½ miles S by W of Lerwick. A runeinscribed stone, discovered here in 1872, is discussed in Procs. Soc. Ant. Scot.,1875, pp. 425-430.
