GRIMSTONE, a hamlet in Stratton parish, Dorset; near the Yeovil and Dorchester railway, 4½ miles NW of Dorchester. It has a station on the railway, jointly with Frampton. Real property, £681. Pop., 72. A tunnel of the railway, in the vicinity, passes thringh chalk, and is 600 yards long.
