Descriptive Gazetteer Entry for Balcraig

Balcraig, a quondam ancient castle in Newtyle parish, Forfarshire, a short distance S of the ruins of Hatton Castle. Scardely any traces of it remain. Some urns, in a broken state, were, a number of years ago exhumed about its site.
